The interchange at 100th Street has created a new entry point to the City of Johnston, and it has spurred growth in the West Park development along NW 100th Street. A new office building has been proposed for the southeast corner of 100th Street and White Oak Lane – adjacent to West Parkway. DRE Properties, LLC has submitted site plans for the development of a 9,047 square foot building to house three office suites. The plans were approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission on April 8, and approved by the Johnston City Council on April 15.
As development continues along NW 100th Street, the need for road improvements may increase. Currently, the City Capital Improvement Plan provides funding for improvements to NW 100th between NW 54th Ave. and NW 62nd Avenue in Fiscal Year 2023.
