The City of Johnston Economic Development Committee has completed the review of proposals submitted for real estate services relating to the Merle Hay Road Gateway project. Interested developers and brokers, particularly those with a background in retail or hotel development, were encouraged to respond to a Request for Qualifications. Update: The May 19, 2014 Johnston City Council agenda and materials include an action item to approve an agreement with NAI Optimum. The agreement is posted here.
NAI Optimum presented a team approach with strong experience in the Johnston community. The team will be asked to assist the City and JEDCO with efforts to implement the MHR Gateway master plan including marketing the area to potential retail organizations, hotels, or corporate offices.
