At their meeting on Monday, April 20th the Johnston City Council considered initiating a PUD Amendment to Parcel D of the Birchwood Crossing PUD to allow motorcycle sales and service and to further allow interstate oriented signs for their proposed project. The property for this project is located north of Interstate 35/80 and east of NW 86th Street. The amendment to the PUD would allow for the construction of a +/- 25,000 square foot building on approximately 5 acres which would be home to Bison Motorcycle and apparel, the authorized Indian Motorcycle dealer for the Des Moines metro area. The City Council referred this request to the Planning and Zoning Commission for their review and Recommendation at their meeting on Monday, May 11th.
