On April 13th the Vision Iowa Board awarded the City of Johnston a $700,000 Community Attraction and Tourism grant for the Terra Park Project on Pioneer Parkway in Johnston. Prior to being awarded the grant it was important for the City of Johnston to demonstrate that they had community support for the project. Businesses and individuals in Johnston and surrounding communities showed their support and contributed an additional $120,000 to the project. Those contributors were asked to attend the Johnston City Council meeting on May 2 to be recognized for supporting the project. Thank you to all of the businesses and individuals who contributed to this project. Terra Park will be an amazing asset to the Johnston Community.
